I went to the seaside this summer

This sunday we woke up with itchy feet and decided to head for the seaside. The weather was pleasant with a nice 23C and sunny. Whitstable in Kent is 1h30 drive away from where we live. It is cute little town on the south coast of the Thames estuary in Kent. With all it's galleries and boutiques it is a sort of Islington of Kent...

Typical fishermen's huts along the coastal front have been turned into overnight accommodation for visitors.

I love the sound of seagulls. They remind me of growing up.

We had lunch in one of the local eateries an enjoyed some oysters. (although not in season)
